How are the agreements recorded?

Arrangements are made by phone or email. After making an appointment, it will be sent to your email for confirmation. The type of appointment is stated here (location, video calling or telephone consultation) and the duration of the appointment with the rate.

I want to cancel or reschedule my appointment, how do I do that?

You may want to reschedule or cancel your appointment. This can be done free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. If the appointment is canceled for less than 24 hours, 50% of the appointment will be charged. Exception: If the appointment has to be rescheduled due to medical necessity. I can ask for a statement from a doctor.

When is 1 on 1 coaching not suitable for me?

It may be that you have specific questions or complaints that I cannot support you with enough and for which it is necessary to engage another specialist. For example, think of a depression, I will always advise to have these complaints treated by a psychologist. Another example is specific pelvic and / or back complaints that must be treated by a specialized physiotherapist, but referral is not required in all cases. Because we do a no-obligation intake in advance, we discuss together which route is best for you.

Is the 1-on-1 coaching only for after my delivery?

The 1-on-1 coaching is intended to help mothers prepare themselves better for the postpartum period. This can be done during pregnancy as well as after delivery.

When is the best time to join?

My advice would be from two to six weeks after you give birth. The topics that I discuss per meeting can be viewed in advance, which can be found in the information about the mother groups. If you want to board later, this is certainly possible. View the topics per meeting and if in doubt feel free to contact me so that I can advise you on this.

I would like to board halfway through the course, is this possible?

When the groups are not yet full, it may be possible to step in at a reduced rate later. However, this will not be my preference to safeguard continuity and peace in the groups already started. Contact me and we will look at the possibilities together.

Are the mother groups only for mothers or also for fathers?

Fathers have an important supporting role in the postpartum period and to do that as well as possible it is certainly useful for fathers to participate. The course covers general topics such as nutrition, sleep rhythms, changes in the brain, crying behavior in babies and contraception to name a few. My advice would be to discuss it together and see where the need lies. Nothing is mandatory, you can determine per meeting whether you participate together or alone.

I do not speak or understand Dutch, can I still participate?

The courses are mostly taught in Dutch. But because we stay in the Netherlands with many cultures, I also have some mom groups in English. In tcase you do not speak Dutch, but do understand it, you can choose whether you participate in an English or Dutch course.

I have already become a mother once, is it still useful to follow the course?

It can certainly be helpful to take the course if you are already a mother. For example, you will receive a maternity plan that you can fill in for yourself and together with your partner. You make a concrete plan together for the first time. Especially if you experienced anxiety and stress in your previous maternity periods, this course can contribute to a positive experience of the maternity period. I also notice that many parents have lost information from the postpartum period, which makes this course a perfect refresher.

I am an expectant father, is it helpful to take the course?

I always recommend taking this course together. The influence and position of the father in the postpartum period is, in my opinion, underestimated. As a father,

you make a special contribution and it is highly recommended to learn more about this period. Fathers have often told me in the past (afterwards) that they wanted practical information about this period. They would have liked to know more about this during pregnancy. I fully agree with that.

Can I also follow the course after giving birth?

You may prefer not to participate in the mother groups, but you would like some more information about the postpartum period. It is certainly possible to follow this course after giving birth and it is certainly useful. Please note that the information is more concise and less extensive than in the mother groups and is aimed at pregnant women and their partners.

After following the course I need more time for my personal questions, what now?

After the course I always take a little more time to answer some remaining questions. If more time and guidance is desired, there is the possibility for 1-on-1 coaching. Contact me without obligation and we will discuss the possibilities.
